Our use of hidden fasteners and pre-routed timber is what sets our decks apart. Designed especially for harsh Australian conditions, the hidden fastener system extends the life of your deck. There are no screw holes in the top of the timber, so no rust or water wear occurs. It also looks so much neater and leaves you with a smooth surface to your deck. All you need is supplied in a pre-boxed kit. It includes starter clips, decking clips, screws, plugs, driver bits and drill bits. We choose smooth and grooved decking boards.
This our Deck in a Day starter kit. Designed for Australian conditions. Our hidden fasteners feature a stainless steel reinforcement plate, as well as an injected fire retardant.
When working with 90mm decking boards, each starter kit will cover upto 8 square metres.
Screw in your first row of starter clips. Use a string line, making sure that your starter clips are in line.
Knock in your first board and screw in your clip. The screws supplied in your box kit are marked for timber joists or self drilling screws for steel joists
Use a rubber mallet to knock in your deck board. By knocking your deck board hard against the clip your spacing will be 3mm, but by using decking spacers(not included) between the boards you can have a maximum of 6mm.
The last board will need to be screwed down from the face and plugged with a timber plug to cover the hole. The timber plugs are supplied, as well as a pilot and plug drill bit. Once you have screwed your deck down, you can knock in your plug, cut off the excess and sand flush.
